As the Voice of Whisky I organize spirited events, trainings, classes and seminars in order to introduce people to all things whisky, in addition to other intriguing spirits produced throughout the world.

Before my career in whisky, I taught literature and composition. My passion for wine and spirits prompted me to change course, and I became a veteran of the wine and spirits industry, crafting cocktails, studying wine, hosting wine & spirits dinners throughout the land before becoming a Master of Whisky for international drinks company Diageo.

As Master of Whisky I studied in renowned distilleries such as Ireland’s Bushmills distillery, Canada’s Crown Royal distillery, America’s Bulleit Distilling Company, George Dickel Tennessee Whisky distillery and the following distilleries in Scotland: Cragganmore, Cardhu and Johnnie Walker, Oban, Royal Lochnagar, Lagavulin, Talisker, Dalwhinnie, Clynelish and Caol Ila. I also visited dozens of additional distilleries to strengthen my understanding of the subject and continue to learn something new every day about his fascinating, complex spirit.

In 2015 I formed the Voice of Whisky, a whisky event and consulting company. As Voice of Whisky I engage with bar owners and managers, food & beverage directors, chefs and restauranteurs on menu development, mixology, spirits education and event marketing. I also host exclusive events, offer advice on product development and evaluation, conduct product reviews and and industry insights.

In 2016 I became a licensed instructor for The Whisky Ambassador Program, the UK’s original accredited training course about whisky. It is a fun and interactive training program designed for professionals who work in the hospitality and spirits industry. The program instills staff and salespeople with the knowledge, skills and confidence to talk to customers about Scotch whisky, leading to a better customer experience and increased sales.

My fondness for worldly libations and global cuisine inspired me to join forces with two partners in 2015 to establish an eclectic, award winning whisky/rum/mezcal/craft beer cocktail bar and food truck pod, Finn’s Manor. Finn’s Manor hosts ongoing spirits events and classes for the public and trade; our cocktails pay homage to places which have inspired me throughout my food and drinks journey.
