Robert Stankavish

INTERESTS and PASSIONS include: technology, entrepreneurial companies, connecting people, mentoring to help close the opportunity divide, quality coffee, craft beer, all foods, photos, exploring cities, shopping, clean German cars, my Standard Dachshunds (Colin & Curtis), and my daughter, Emerson.

I MET MY WIFE in 2001. In addition to being my best friend, she is a practicing physician and clinical researcher in Nephrology. As the "trailing spouse" her career has taken me on two cross-country moves. We have experienced more than our share of life challenges, and through these episodes we have proven to be an outstanding team. We recognize everyday how fortunate we are.

FACTS NOT EVERYONE KNOWS: My family heritage is Polish and German, if you Google "Stankavish," the only results are my family, our dogs were born in Japan, I have no tattoos, I am an only child, BBQ pork and fresh shrimp make me smile, my car has a Grateful Dead sticker, I have an aversion to humidity, my high school senior project was working at a Wall Street municipal bond trading desk, my freshman year college roomate is my financial advisor, I never have fewer than six tabs open in my Internet browser, when I was younger my summer jobs included golf caddie, computer refurbisher, auto detailer, stock brokerage intern, and ice cream palletizer.
