Dr. Raymond Tucker

Dr. Raymond Tucker CFSC, CSCS * D, XPS, FMS, USATF, USAW

Raymond Tucker is an associate professor of kinesiology at the University of Houston System. He is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with distinction, as well as a Certified Functional Strength Coach (CFSCL1), an EXOS Performance Specialist (XPS), and a Functional Movement Screen (FMSL1) practitioner. Additionally, he holds certifications from the United States Track and Field (USATFL1) and the United States Weightlifting Federation (USAWFL1).

As a former state, regional, and national champion powerlifter, Raymond competed drug-free throughout his career.

He has coached and supervised athletic programs across various levels. His roles have included athletic coordinator, head strength and conditioning coach, and position coach at the middle school level, as well as running backs coach at the high school level. He has also coached sprinters and relay teams in track and field and basketball. Furthermore, he has experience as a strength and conditioning coach in both middle and high school settings and at the collegiate level.

Raymond's coaching experience extends to working with the school for the Deaf and a semi-professional football team. In addition to his teaching and coaching responsibilities, he is a published author on topics related to strength and conditioning and coaching leadership. He has presented and consulted with several high school athletic programs throughout Texas.

Raymond is currently a strength and conditioning coach at a Sports Performance Facility in San Antonio and also does online training and speed training at a local track.
