Despite having amassed nearly three decades of experience as a law enforcement officer, Mr. Ruben Caban still humbly acknowledges that his 27 years with the New York City Police Department have enabled him to become a world-class professional. After serving at NYPD with total dedication and hard work, Mr. Caban sees the years ahead as perfect opportunities to enhance the quality of life of people in the neighborhood. Widely acknowledged for his keen sense of responsibility and motivational leadership, Ruben sincerely believes that the path leads forward and ever upward in as far as upholding the law is concerned. By fearlessly seeing to it that the Constitution and the civil liberties of people are protected at all times, Ruben has contributed to the welfare of society as a whole. A true man of his word, Mr. Caban will do everything he can to see that lawless elements become accountable for their actions and are successfully brought to justice.

Aware of the huge trust that is placed on his shoulders, Mr. Ruben Caban strives hard to perform his duties with total impartiality and to safeguard the welfare of those he has sworn to protect. In his sincere desire to give back to society on a more personal level, he supports: K-Love Christian Radio Station, which not only plays inspirational music but also shares positive and encouraging stories everyday to help more people understand their relationship with God and apply that to their daily lives; St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which aims to find cures for children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases through research and treatment; the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, a private, non-profit organization at the forefront of the fight to keep children safer from abduction and sexual exploitation; the NYPD Hispanic Society and the National Latino Officers Association, which both seek equality for Police Officers of Hispanic or Latino descent; and Survivors of the Shield (SOS), a not-for-profit organization that provides important support services to the families of fallen police officers.
