Learning is a major factor to being successful in life, if you don't learn you cant be better and you will not be better. The point of schooling before you become and adult is feed your mind knowledge so that when your an adult your not just a clueless soul. If you don't learn the basics between elementary, middle and high school you will not do anything in life but be a fast food worker and who wants that, nobody. For me school has taught me a lot and I think one of the most important subjects for me is history. Nothing in particular when I think about history but the point of them teaching us history is showing us the good things about it and wanting us to expand on that. As well as showing us the bad things and wanting us to not make those same mistakes. Other subjects may be more important to other people but hearing about the mistakes in history will motivate you to do better than any other subject could.
