Rubén Pulido
Jaén
Graduate Software Engineer and PhD Student at the University of Jaén.
As a member of the Graphics and Geomatics Research Group of Jaen I’ve mainly focused on Digital Image Processing and 3D Computer Graphics techniques.
The majority of my professional experience and skills have been acquired through the following featured projects:
- Development of an innovative and multi-platform software based on Java and Java 3D oriented to simulate the result of dental treatments such as dental bleeching, implant or even orthodontics.
- Analysis of Medical Images (DICOM) with C++ and OpenGL libraries for Segmentation, 3D Reconstruction and Rendering.
- Development within a Microsoft environment, specially with Visual Studio, C# and the Kinect sensor, using them to build a prototype to study the use of Kinect to control rehabilitation exercises in older people.
- Currently, I also take part in a great team working on our own project POSEFY which aims to revolutionize the way in which people learn and teach postures online. That project integrates 3D web technology based on WebGL, used to render three dimensional models created in Blender, together with well-known web programming languages as PHP and MySQL database management.
Other remarkable skills:
- I have also experience on academic environment working as a teacher in Secondary Education and Public Institutions.
