I like to tell a good story. Whether engaging a community by creating a walking tour of downtown Ann Arbor to illustrate its changes, teaching complex social policies in high school and college classes or performing my own tale on several Moth stages, I have incorporated storytelling into my work. A story well told is powerful and can confirm a truth that deepens an audience’s understanding of an issue.
I recently finished a book titled, We’re Staying: The Fate of a Store, its Owners and its Neighborhood Through its 80-year Life on the Upper West Side. Here is an excerpt.
I volunteer at the UW Odyssey Project teaching a 3 week storytelling class.
I make the best challah in Madison, WI.
