I was born on September 14, 1957 in Yerevan.
Education:
I attended Yerevan basic school N38 named after V. Belinsky.I received my higher education at State Engineering University of Armenia which I joined in 1974 and graduated as an electrical engineer in 1979.
Career:
— 1979-1991: I worked at “Hayhastoc” scientific manufacturing complex as an engineer, at “VNIIStandardelecro” institute’s Armenian branch as a senior engineer, at “Transistor” scientific manufacturing complex as a senior engineer, first- rank engineer- constructor, a sector manager, then as head of Information and Computing Center.
— As of 1988, I became an active contributor in the “Karapakh Movement” and afterwards in the “Pan-Armenian National Movement”, “HHSh”.
— From 1989-1990, as a member of “Transistor”’s volunteer squad, I participated in the defense operations of Blutan village of Hadrout area, in Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.
— From 1991-1999, I was uninterruptedly elected a member of the executive committee of the “Pan-Armenian National Movement”.
— In 1990, I was elected a deputy of the Supreme Council of RA and worked at the Standing Committee on Local Self-Government.
— In January 1991, I was elected the head of the Local Council of Shengavit district of Yerevan.
— In June 1992, I was appointed deputy head of the Executive Committee of Yerevan City, but in December I resigned from the post. My decision was related to the resignation of the head of the Executive Committee of Yerevan City, Hamparcum Galstyan.
— In January 1993, by presidential decree, I was appointed the head of the RA Presidential Supervisory Service.
— In 1995, I was elected a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.
— In July 1995, I was elected the vice- president of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.
— In June 1997, in the General Assembly of the Parliamentary Assembly of the
Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC), being the head of Armenian parliamentary delegation, I was elected the vice-president of the PABSEC.
— In February 1998, I resigned from my post as the vice- president of the National Assembly of RA, and was integrated in the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Financial- Credit and Budgetary Affairs.
— In the same period, I stopped my membership in the Pan- Armenian National Movement, “HHSh” executive committee, as a consequence to having disputes with “HHSh” executive co
