Rugina Brazell

Hello and Welcome! Thank you so much for stopping by! I am Rugina, but to most everyone I am just Gina (or Bena but I hoped that after 30ish ;) years that I would grow out of that- but it's still going strong!) So let me tell you a bit about me! First foremost, I am a Christian! I have a very strong faith, that cannot be shaken! I have seen God's work in my life more times than I can count! He saved not only my soul, but my life! I am sure that I will dive into this more down the road, so stay tuned! But if you can't wait, email me I would LOVE to share my story with you! Second, I am a wife! My husband Jonathan is my ROCK! He keeps me level headed and grounded! He came into my life when I didn't think that I would ever know what it meant to be loved! He taught me how to love not only him but he also taught me how to love me again! He has always believed in me even in the moments when I didn't believe in myself. For that I am eternally grateful! Third, I am mom! This is by far one of the greatest, most trying, most rewarding jobs that I have ever had! Henry is my son, he is 3! He came into our world and changed it immediately! He is spunky and STUBBORN- but he gets that honestly! His big brown eyes will wrap you around his tiny finger! But he is by far the sweetest little boy I know! According to him, I "give the best kisses EVER!" But I think he has me beat!

So let me tell you a little bit about my photography journey! I have always loved photography, but it had always been on the back burner as a here or there thing. When Henry was born, I picked up the camera and most litterally did not put it down! That's what most first time parents do! When he was born, he also brought out a passion that lit my soul! A part of me that I didn't even know that was there! I liked taking pictures! And I took a lot of them! By the time Henry was a year old, there were, no joke, over 10 thousand pictures! Soon, I started taking pictures of children of friends and then I was hooked! And for the last few years, I just took pictures here and there for friends who would ask (or friends that I would BEG!) I realized that I LOVED it that much! So fast forward to 2015! We are a few months in and my world has drastically changed! At the beginning of the year, after a ton of prayer and budgeting, Jonathan and I decided that I should stay home with Henry! This would also give me the opportunity to work on honing in what I wanted to do and where I want to go with this Photography thing! Beginning of Feburary, I got a message from a dear friend who wanted to BUY a gift certificate for a photo session! I thought about saying... "I'm sorry I am not ready for this." But then I thought about it a little more and I have 2 options, GO BIG or Go Home! And to tell you the truth, I am not going HOME! As I like to tell my husband, "Sorry you're stuck with me!" :) So with that WELCOME! I am so glad that you are here! I look forward to getting to know each and everyone of you!
