Work out with me

My name is Ruixing and I have recently refound my love for skiing. After going on two trips this past winter break to Snowshoe, West Virginia and to the Cataloochee Ski Area in North Carolina, skiing has become by favorite winter pastime. I first learned how to ski when I was in China at the age of 4. I don’t remember pretty much anything from back then but I'm sure that is where I got the foundation skills to become such a pro more than 10 years later. After I moved to the US, I never skied again until my friend from Ohio invited me up to his house to go. When I went, I forgot how to stop and I didn’t remember until I was in a life or death scenario heading straight towards a frozen lake at the bottom of the mountain by the lifts unable to turn or stop. The giant line of people waiting saw me coming and parted like the red sea to see me somehow pull off the most unprofessional stop/fall a couple feet from the lake. Since those days, I never felt the need to further embarrass myself by hitting the slopes again: until last winter. My friends and I decided to go shred in West Virginia and after a day, I’d like to say my skills have increased exponentially. Caving to peer pressure, I unwillingly went down some black diamonds with my friends and after eating it a few times, I was able to go down with no significant problems.
