I believe that:

• We need to be aware of Shumpeter's warning: "Nature always knows where and when to stop [...] Technology recognises no self-limiting principle."
• Without structure, our ideas fail to buid upon one another.
• Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now.
• When you commit, your community will be more willing to commit resources to help you.

It's taken me some time to learn all that, though.
