RUNA GUDRUN BERGMANN is an Icelandic entrepreneur, who after selling her country Hotel Hellnar in 2010 founded a company called Green Heels, The company is focused on creating conscious awareness of environmental issues, and offers consultation and eco-certification to the tourism industry and to communities, as it represents the international certification program EarthCheck in Iceland.

In 2011 RUNA GUDRUN started an initiative called GREEN APRIL in Iceland. During the month of April all suppliers, retailers and providers of goods and services that are of green and eco-friendly origin are encouraged to promote these to the general public. In this way the consumer becomes more aware of the choices he has to lead a greener lifestyle, and contribute to reduction of global warming.

RUNA has also been extremely interested in a healthier style of living and has through the years written and published 14 books on the subject, some of which have been published in Germany, Austria, Norway and U.S.A. Runa has also translated and published many books on the same subject. Her most recent book is called UNG A OLLUM ALDRI - which translates to YOUNG AT ANY AGE, and will be available in English end 2013/beg 2014.

RUNA regularly speaks as a keynote speaker on CARING FOR YOUR HEALTH IN THE BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT, as so many people overlook the signs of stress and other hazards of business life on their health. She also runs short seminars on several health issues.

She has in the past founded ground breaking companies such as the first metaphysical bookstore in Iceland (1989), the first eco-certified hotel in Iceland (2000) (Hotel Hellnar which recently became the FIRST hotel in Europe to receive PLATINUM certification from EarthCheck for 10 years of certification) as well as the first eco-certified tour company (1998) in Iceland.
