Hello, I’m Ruqaiyah.
My instagram handle is @ruqaiyahx_
I’m turning 22 on the 6th of August. I’d describe myself as a selective social extrovert (if that makes any sense)—I love spending time with family and close friends, especially when it involves a little adventure! Whether it's trying out a new activity or just going for a spontaneous outing, I enjoy creating memories, even if I don’t consider myself particularly skilled at things like sports or painting. I just enjoy the experience. On the other hand, I’m also perfectly content staying home, binge-watching series and movies. Food content is my guilty pleasure—I'm a huge fan of MasterChef, TikTok food videos, and Mukbangs. You could definitely call me a foodie! I love exploring new dishes and flavors whenever I get the chance. I get inspired by easy meals on TikTok and I try to re-create them at home and I would say my favorite chefs are Gordon Ramsay and Guy Fieri. I am the newest fan of steak whether it’s steak chops or steak and mashed potatoes or steak and vegetables. I just love steak and I am trying to cook it and be better at it until I perfect it. i even created a mood board on Pinterest uploading all the kinds of steak I made or ate!
One thing that’s always been a constant in my life is music. Whether I’m excited, sad, cleaning my room, or on a long drive—music is always playing in the background. It’s how I express myself, even when I don’t have the words.
My all-time favorite artist is Bryson Tiller. I’ve been a fan since Grade 8, and honestly, I’ve never looked back. His music hits differently—it’s a unique kind of R&B that makes me smile, reflect, and wonder: is this really what love feels like? Right behind him is The Weeknd, another artist I admire for how his music tells stories in such a powerful way.
My favorite songs of Bryson Tiller
I chose to study teaching because I’m deeply passionate about education. I believe teachers have a powerful impact, and I want to be someone who inspires and guides students, just like my high school Business Studies teacher did for me. That subject became my favorite thanks to him, and I hope to bring that same energy and connection into my own classroom. I’ve chosen to teach high school because I value the meaningful, intellectual conversations I can have with students at that stage in life.
