Ruqoyah Alata

As a person who is passionate about growth and community service, I am committed to using my potential, voice and resources to bring positive change to my community. I impact people through my writings and Virtual speaking sessions.

I have various certifications ranging digital marketing, content marketing, creative writing and public speaking. I'm also a 100 level Medical laboratory science student at The University of Ilorin.

I have organised training aimed at helping young people to kickstart their personal development and embrace capacity building and had over 100 participants who gave excellent reviews of the training.

I have spoken to secondary students on knowing them as an individual to their community. I am also a member of the Young African leadership initiative, YALI.

Most importantly, I'm committed to improving myself and helping others improve themselves as well.

I believe every Young person has in him a seed of greatness, it is my mission to help them discover and nurture it as I also walk on the path of discovering mine too.

Hence, my mantra at all times "each of us has a potential, to lead, to serve, and to become the best we can be, hence the need to realise our potential, so we can live, thrive and impact".

As they say, you can't give what you don't possess. By investing in myself and building capacity, I'm able to advocate for young people around me and impact them positively, showing them the need to also actively engage themselves in activities that will help them to become the highest version of themselves.
