Russell Ford
Russell assists public and private employers, large and small, in developing value-added, efficient, effective immigration policies, strategies, and personnel movement throughout the globe. He assists multinational corporations, universities, and non-profit organizations in the recruitment, maintenance, and retention of international personnel, and partners with these organizations to develop, implement, and enhance existing compliance programs with regard to the Immigration Reform and Control Act, Immigration and Nationality Act, E-Verify, and export controls. Russell is adept at all nonimmigrant and immigrant visa categories with an affinity for atypical and difficult matters such as Q-1s, H-3s, J-1 waivers, Ps, O-1s, NIWs, EB-1As, and EB-1Bs. In addition, he assists employers in conducting and handling I-9 audits and compliance. He provides detailed I-9 training to clients to assist in developing comprehensive completion and retention programs. Russell’s education practice builds upon his strong immigration foundation. He represents public and private colleges, universities, and related non-profit organizations in the recruitment, maintenance, and retention of international personnel. He partners with these organizations to develop, implement, and enhance existing immigration compliance programs including SEVIS, I-9s, and E-Verify. Russell assists these organizations with all relevant nonimmigrant and immigrant visa categories including J-1s, O-1s, NIWs, EB-1As, and EB-1Bs. In addition, he assists these organizations in obtaining SEVIS designation for J-1, M-1, or F-1 as well as post-designation SEVIS counseling and compliance.
Russell is married to a wonderful wife, Lisa, and is father to three glorious children, Carson, Courtney, and Connor. He graduated from Tulane Law School in 1999, received his M.Ed. from Boston University in 1996, and his B.A. from Stonehill College in 1995. Originally from Lakeville, Massachusetts, Russell now resides in Cape Elizabeth, ME.
