Russell Pottharst has been providing corporations with counsel on business strategy and organizational system overhauls for over two decades. Now working as an independent consultant, Russell Pottharst Pottharst has been certified as a Project Management Professional by the Project Management Institute for over 15 years. He earned a cum laude BS in Computer Information Systems, and an MBA in International Business Management. Russell Pottharst works throughout California, most often in the San Francisco Bay Area. His services include analysis and development of business systems, operations, projects, and program management. Most notably, Mr. Pottharst advised with the Gerson Lehrman Group, Inc., and Thomson Reuters ONE Corporate Insight. Previously, Russell Pottharst provided his consulting expertise to SAS Institute Inc. for seven years. In his first 3 years as Senior Project Manager, Mr. Pottharst managed from 15 to 20 projects at a time for clients in a variety of capacities. With each client, Mr. Pottharst provided business planning; production and performance analysis; and forecasting of sales, revenue, and profits. Following a promotion to Senior Consulting Services Manager, Russell Pottharst worked, among others, with the firm’s legal division to reduce risk exposure to potential sales tax liability, and with the corporate finance division to develop new prospect credit-scoring processes in order to limit exposure to credit risk. Additionally, Mr. Pottharst initiated business process changes, creating a system for reporting project/program status and operating results to senior management. Russell Pottharst achieved recognition for improving the functions of a divisional website, leading to faster and more accurate project status reporting.
