As chief executive officer of the San Francisco digital technology firm Universal mCloud Corp, Russ McMeekin builds upon nearly 10 years of experience as a leader in the high-tech energy sector. Before accepting his current position in 2016, he served four years as partner/chairman with Energy Knowledge/Yokogawa and three years as chief executive officer of SCi Energy. Russ McMeekin has also headed major business operations and spearheaded comprehensive financial strategy as a top executive in the computer software and gaming industries. Over his career, he has earned multiple professional honors, including a Honeywell Growth Award, a KPMG Award, an GE Ecomagination Award, and a Green Build Award.

Outside the workplace, Russ McMeekin is an avid water-sports enthusiast who enjoys sailing and diving. In advance of the turn of the millennium, he sailed around New Zealand, arriving in the Bay of Islands in time for the first sunrise of the year 2000.
