journalist, Editorial Designer, and Mammy in Newbridge, Ireland

I’m a 32-year-old mother of two and full-time sports journalist based in Newbridge, Co Kildare. I have been married to Galway man Mike since May 2012 and I am mammy to two-year-old Aidan and eight month old Sarah. I’m a neat freak (a very difficult thing to be with a wild two-year-old in the house) and a control freak, who stresses easily.

I write a weekly mammy column in the Leinster Leader newspaper, also called It’s Just a Phase, about the adventures of Aidan and Sarah. I love talking about my wee pair but figure not everyone wants to listen so hence the birth of the blog.

I recently heard a saying, ‘if money makes the world go round, its humour that keeps it from spinning out of control’ . Humour is good. You need a sense of it with smallies about the place. So that’s what (I hope) you’ll get from me and if not it will be mostly reality!
