Ruth Dantzer
An advisor to the General Secretariat of the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi, Dr. Ruth Dantzer possesses more than two decades of experience in federal government, social policy, and economic development. Previously serving as the chief executive officer and president of the Canada School of Public Service, Dr. Dantzer managed more than 3,000 employees and oversaw the school’s operations and a budget of more than $100 million. While leading the Canada School, Dr. Ruth Dantzer also served as a board member of the Canadian Comprehensive Audit Foundation (CCAF) and as the treasurer of the Commonwealth Association for Public Administration and Managers (CAPAM).
Dr. Dantzer started her civic career in 1989 working in the child care field, eventually serving in the Privy Council Office as an Assistant Secretary to the Cabinet, where she advised on public policy and prepared the agenda for Ministerial committee meetings. Subsequently, she became the Associate Deputy Minister of Fisheries and Oceans and later joined the Treasury Board of Canada. Dr. Dantzer served three Prime Ministers and their cabinets.
Prior to working for the Canadian government, Dr. Dantzer worked as the economic development coordinator for First Nations in Saskatchewan.
Dr. Ruth Dantzer received the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal for her contributions to the Canadian government. She earned a Ph.D. in leadership from Andrews University and a master of business administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business.
