Ruth de Vantier Chowles

You may wonder about the surname-Ruth was born a de Vantier and was once married to a Chowles. She studied Graphic Design after her school years & began her career in the Advertising Industry as a Junior Art Director. Years later Ruth entered the Ad world again after raising two incredible daughters but this time as a TV Producer for the Jupiter Drawing Room Cape Town. Eight years on, Ruth left Jupiter in and joined Golden Planes in 2011 to head up and expand the director's portfolio starting up with directors Kyle Lewis & Sven Harding (with more up her sleeve). She brings huge experience (and around 70 commercials per year on brands like Woolworths, Windhoek, Sanlam, Musica & Hyundai) as Jupiter's Head of TV and Radio, as well as 18 years as an Art Director at agencies like Lintas, Y&R and Berry Bush. It's a great combination – understanding creative, knowing budget constraints, and bringing agency production and production house knowledge together. Ruth enjoys mentoring young creatives and filmmakers. Watch this lady spead her wings and fly!
