I design and make contemporary jewellery in both precious and non precious materials. The inspiration behind my work comes from an investigation of the colours, textures and patterns found in cakes and sweets.

My passion for colour and texture has lead me to dye nylon monofilament and use brightly coloured enamels and plastics which I combine with silver, often corrugated with steel presses, to match what can be found in the confectioner’s window. I also incorporate semi-precious beads and pearls in some of my pieces to give an extra edge of preciousness.

I combine traditional jewellery techniques with more modern ones to recreate the vibrant colours and textures found in my source material making my jewellery a feast for the eyes.
