Ruth Miller, M.Ed.
As an Early Childhood Educator with a Master's in Special Education and Early Childhood Development, I'm involved in and provide leadership for several professional organizations in the field. In addition, I also provide leadership in organizations dedicated to the deaf and hard of hearing.
While at the University of North Carolina's Frank Porter Graham Child Development Center as Special Services Coordinator I was honorded to receive the North Carolina State Employees Award for Excellence in Public Service. In addition, I received the University of North Carolina Chancelor's Award in Human Relations.
I served for seven years on the North Carolina Council for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, as a governor appointed member. Six of these years I served as Chair of this Council.
I live in Chapel Hill, NC with my husband, Perry, who is a practicing psychotherapist and clinical supervisor.
I enjoy reading, friends, travel, Apple Computer products, photography and our dog.
