Consultant, Corporate Trainer, and Leadership in USA
I provide technical training and personal development workshops and seminars on such topics as customer service, communication skills, leadership issues, time management, and overall productivity. I’ve spent the last ten years on instructional design teams developing training for integrated eligibility projects in Alabama, Delaware, Georgia and Tennessee, including creating and implementing train-the-trainer. Although I’ve most recently worked on technical training teams, my focus is to enable my clients to recognize, embrace and increase their ability to provide true excellence in every area. I prefer to conduct soft-skills training whenever I have the opportunity because personal productivity is my favorite genre in which to work
I’m very good at giving practical insight and instruction for organizations to implement for immediate results in maintaining the competitive advantage. I understand how adults learn and grow and have a “specific set of skills” to obtain buy-in with my learners. Since 1998, I’ve had the pleasure of assisting companies and organizations in preparing their staff for enhanced productivity in many areas.
I’m originally from Baltimore, MD. I entered the U.S. Air Force in 1978 and continued my education in various schools while on active duty, culminating my studies in Human Resources at Faulkner University. I retired from the Air Force in 1998 and went to work in the private sector starting with a position as Executive Assistant to the Vice President and Executive Editor of a midsized Knight-Ridder newspaper in Columbus, Georgia. I worked as an Operations Manager with Best Buy and as General Manager with an Ashley Furniture Homestore. Retail not being my particular “best look,” I finally got back to basics with adult training opportunities and found, not just my niche, but my true life vocation.
I’m currently residing in Nashville, Tennessee.
My training philosophy is to use clarity, simplicity, purpose, and creativity. My seminars and workshops combine solid knowledge, practical skill, and thought-provoking, creative methods to help learners both enjoy the training experience and be excited and ready to apply newly learned skills.
