rw | visuals is my personal brand. i'm primarily a still photographer, but I've recently been working as a cinematographer and director as well since the onset of HD DSLRs. i have always had a restless creative soul, and I find producing new work is the best way to stay satisfied with my place in life. my shoots are casually sophisticated with all the ingredients required to produce incredibly honest, emotional images. my work often has a stark, raw quality to it with tack sharp focus, and i almost always prefer working in black and white. i'm not one to spend hours in photoshop retouching every imperfection from my portraits. i believe people are better with their imperfections. i'm capable of shaping light with precision and maintaining a high degree of professionalism. on set, i'm easy-going and precise, and i work hard to create a relaxed atmosphere in which everyone involved can feel comfortable and confident. i've long been in my element when shooting in my studio, however, this year i'm venturing out to shoot on location more. my other vice is continuously learning. i feel most alive when i'm learning something brand new, and i love the anticipation that accompanies new knowledge. i have a heart for teaching the things i'm most passionate about. i feel a certain responsibility to give back when it comes to passing on the knowledge i've accumulated. i'm inspired when a friend or colleague expresses interest in learning from me, and i look forward to sharing stories and experiences about photography with them. it's something i hope to do more of as the years go by. creating images, be them still or moving, is my passion. if you are interested in hiring me, please contact me. thanks for stopping by.
