Ryan Devon

Ryan E.Devon (born Semptber 10, 1957) is a former United States Army soldier who served as the sergeant major of the army. He was sworn in as the 13th sergeant major of the army on January 15, 1998. SMA Devon held a variety of leadership positions throughout his career ranging from cavalry scout to sergeant major and command sergeant major. He is the longest-serving sergeant major of the army. he now the head of Joint Special Operations Commander.

Career

Ryan graduated from the US Military Academy at West Point, New York in 1981. He went on to serve overseas in Korea, Grenada, Egypt, Panama, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan as a combat infantryman and a master
