Worked for Ogilvy & Mather and Rediffusion YR in Mumbai, India for almost 3 years while servicing key clients such as Colgate Palmolive India, Emirates Airways, Vodafone Essar India, Tata Sky Broadcast Pvt. Ltd, and Neo Sports Broadcast Pvt. Ltd. to name a few. As a Marketing major, I picked up exactly what the book shows you about the subject. The reality though was that whatever I had learned was useless and that practical knowledge was the need of the hour. I spent the better part of 3 months perfecting all the standard operating procedures expected from a junior Client Servicing executive at Ogilvy & Mather. Needing to broaden my horizons, I switched to Rediffusion YR which is the Indian subsidiary of Young & Rubicam Worldwide where I worked on Colgate Palmolive's entire Indian product portfolio. My knowledge of both these WPP agencies emboldened my to want to try my luck at International Advertising. I am currently enrolled at The Humber Business School in a 2 year program that will give me a North American perspective on the way business is done. With my theoretical knowledge gained here, as well as my practical knowledge from back in India, I hope to be a valuable asset to any Account Management team.
