Throughout a 12-year tenure with Creative Artists Agency’s Television and Television Literary Departments in Los Angeles, Ryan Ly drove employment for professional writers, directors, and producers. He stands out as the youngest equity partner and department head in the agency’s history, having accepted the role after seven years of success as an agent trainee and subsequently as an agent. During this time, Ryan Ly booked his clients on numerous television programs, including Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, and The Walking Dead.

A leader in booking jobs for his clients, Ryan Ly also stood out among other industry professionals as a top representative of writers nominated for major awards. He has continued to represent his own portfolio of more than 50 successful clients, who drive millions of dollars in series packaging fees and agency transactional commissions, while leveraging his expertise to guide the work of 18 agents working in scripted television.

Ryan Ly comes to his work as a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned his BA in English and film studies. He remains connected to his alma mater as a member of the Orrery Society, the leadership board for the University’s library system.
