Hi, I’m Ryan Weber, and I go to Mount Vernon Presbyterian School.
I think leadership is the ability to identify the strengths and weaknesses of a person, and to focus on using the strengths while working on improving the weaknesses while trying to work towards a common goal. Good leaders are able to do this with many people at once.
My core values are staying honest, communicating effectively, and learning as much as possible. First, being honest helps strengthen relationships and build trust. Second, communicating effectively prevents miscommunication, and helps get ideas to another person efficiently. Finally, learning is important towards improving oneself, and obtaining knowledge that may help in the future.
According to FiveThirtyEight's Big Five Personality Test, my three biggest strengths are my intellectual curiosity, my productiveness, and my respectfulness. I would agree with this, as I love to learn, I stay on top of my work and always try my best, and I try to be respectful to everybody around me.
My personal mantra is, "The only easy day was yesterday," which is a Navy Seal motto. It helps keep me motivated for the future.
