Ryan Carey

I am currently a junior attending the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I'm studying Finance and in particular, corporate finance, risk management, and investments. I am also minoring in information technology.

My current focus right now is primarily on school. I work hard to be successful in the classroom knowing that the knowledge I learn today will be something I can use in my future business career. I have only recently become interested in finance but I feel confident that I can be establish a successful career in business as long as I maintain focus and a strong work ethic.

I have a strong passion for the outdoors and for being active. Growing up I was running around outside constantly: rain, snow, or shine. My love for being outside has continued through the years and still today I love just being outdoors. Skiing has been a big passion of mine that has developed over the years. It is undoubtedly my favorite thing to do in the winter. Even when there is not snow on the ground I still stay active and continue to enjoy nature and the outdoors. I fill my free time with exercise and basketball in particular. Just being active and outside is what really matters, whether I am hiking in the woods or simply just walking around. I plan on being active and continuing my love for the outdoors for a long, long time.
