Ryan Houghton

Ryan Houghton is an RAF veteran with extensive experience in politics and government, especially at a local level. Ryan has a proven record of delivering policy initiatives, strategic communications and navigating difficult political climates as a Chief of Staff to a Member of Parliament. Ryan has an accurate understanding of contemporary policy debates formed from principle advisory roles at a national and local level.

Ryan is also experienced in representation and engagement as a Councillor in Aberdeen. Ryan is experienced in his knowledge of UK devolved and local government machinery with excellent knowledge of contemporary issues including Brexit.

Outside of politics, Ryan is a third-year law student, studying at the University of Aberdeen. This has allowed him to refine his communication skills and has enhanced his attention to detail which has allowed him to represent his constituents in an even more effective way.
