Ryan R. Zellner
As a senior pursuing a degree in public relations and organizational communications at Southeastern Louisiana University, I am striving to continue the development of my knowledge and skills in the PR field. I’m from Slidell, La. and graduated from Pope John Paul Catholic High School in 2010.
At Southeastern, I have pushed myself to do new things, get involved around campus and grow both personally and professionally. I love learning, developing my skills and expanding my aspirations, so I strive to ensure I allow myself to do that through beneficial experiences. I'm currently the PR intern at Nortech Development and Southeastern Louisiana University's Office for Student Engagement.
On campus, I'm the president of Kappa Sigma Fraternity, senator at large for Southeastern’s Student Government Association and, an active member in the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA),
Being president of the Mu-Omega Chapter of Kappa Sigma has defined my college experience, and it has taught me the value of leadership, service, professionalism, commitment and so much more. During my junior year, I served as the director of internal public relations for Southeastern’s Student Government Association, and that position provided me with countless opportunities for growth as a PR pre-professional and is one of my most valued collegiate experiences.
With these leadership and work opportunities, I have been able to gain a better understanding of public relations. All of my experiences have been valuable, challenging, and rewarding, which are components I look forward to in all of my endeavors. I enjoy every opportunity I am presented with each day and I hope to pursue a career in either youth ministry, corporate, or non-profit public relations once I graduate in May of 2014.
