Hey there! My name's Ryan, and my friends call me Ryan. I’m from Atlanta Georgia and was recruited to play football here at Morehead. I'm 20 years old and currently a Junior both on the football field and in the classroom. I'm majoring in English Education with a minor in History.

I’ve always dreamed of becoming a coach after my football career comes to an end, but I never thought I’d ever want to become a teacher. Growing up I had always seen how hard my mother worked teaching science to 7th and 8th graders. She’d wake up at five in the morning and wouldn’t be home until seven at night. That alone was enough to turn me off, not to mention that teachers aren’t paid very well either. It wasn’t until I grew older when I realized she never did it for the money, but for the love of teaching. Few things please her more than to see her students excel in the classroom and then eventually go on to become happy adults. It was this love for the molding of young students my mom possessed that ultimately encouraged me to look into teaching. It wasn’t until my freshman year of college when I stepped into my first education class that I realized it was the perfect fit for me. I hope that one day I could become a better teacher and better coach than I’ve ever had, and considering I never had my mother as a teacher that might actually be possible.
