As young Army brats, my three brothers and I grew up meeting new people and exploring new communities, including Hawaii. My college experience brought me from Minnesota to Pittsburgh and Berlin and my professional experience took me to Seattle, remote areas of Alaska, and over twenty trips to China and Vietnam. This quasi-nomadic lifestyle instilled in me a love of traveling and collecting experiences and friends.

My architecture education and professional manufacturing and product design experiences are at the root of my fascination for how things are designed, built, and function. This sentiment crosses over into my personal hobbies in the form of woodworking, beer brewing, and slow cook BBQ.

Working in the beer industry for the past four years intensified a passion of mine for great beer. I'm not talking about how frat boys "pound brewskis." I'm talking about "perfectly chilled pungent hop bombs smacking you in the mouth with a citrus explosion IPA on a summer day" sort of passion. Not sure what I mean?
