Ryan C Heffernan was trained at the San Diego Culinary Institute, where he received an Advanced Professional Diploma in Cuisine Commis Culinary. After completing an externship at the Grand Del Mar Hotel in San Diego, Ryan learned the ins and outs fine dining skills and culinary knowledge. Not only did he work with an amazing team in the restaurant, but he had the privilege to work under astounding chefs.
Ryan C Heffernan was trained by high-end chefs, putting his culinary skills to the test. He learned the importance of team work, collaboration and designing food. He also learned how to tailor a fine dining experience to provide the client or customer with the best experience.
When it comes to eating, food should be the priority. Ryan believes in creating meals meant to be remembered and savored with every bite. A chef is more than simply creating the meal in the sense of deciding what food to place in the recipe. Chefs are creatives who develop a fine eye for taste and luxury while also designing the presentation of the food as appealing. This concept can make or break a chef in the culinary industry.
After working in high-end restaurants for several years, Ryan C Heffernan found his personal vison and decided to take everything he had learned from his training and hands-on experience. He wanted to branch out on his own and try something new, without fear of failure. Armed with his own passion and the support of his mentors, Ryan founded and opened his own catering business. The tricks of the trade skills gave him the edge he needed as an entrepreneur. Ryan is very proud of the success of his business, and continues to cater delicious, personalized food to parties, events, and gatherings all around the San Diego area.
These days you can find Ryan still working at a high end restaurant in San Diego, and also carting food on weekends to weddings and various events. He also makes house trips as a personal chef to high quality clients in the San Diego area.
Ryan C Heffernan is currently "cooking" up his next big project. He is thrilled with his success and the platform he has built to share his love and passion with the world through his art form - food.
In the meantime, when Ryan isn't in the kitchen you can usually find him hitting the waves with his surfboard every weekend, or starting a pickup game with his buddies. No matter the time or day, Ryan is always putting his passion in top priority.
