Ryan Martin

The early years

From 1976 to 1998 Ryan lived all over New England. Due to his mother's career as a District Manager in the retail sector he moved yearly. Some of the cities and towns Ryan lived in were Hartford and Manchester Connecticut, followed by many places in Massachusetts, such as Boston, Braintree, Shrewsbury, Springfield, Agawam, Newton and Brookline.

His early twenties

Ryan worked as a General Manager at Sir Morgan's Cove, a nightclub in Worcester Massachusetts. Over a 3 year period while at Sir Morgan's Cove, Ryan increased the nightclubs revenue by 400% and saved the dying nightlife business from filing Bankruptcy to being considered one of the best bars in the city of Worcester. He also changed the brand and image from a rock and roll biker bar to a young, hip and trendy hotspot that was once considered a must stop every night of the week by local patrons.

His late twenties

While working at Sir Morgan's Cove, one of his responsibilities was to build a brand and market the business. So Ryan taught himself how to create websites in order to promote the nightly events that the nightclub provided. That responsibility ended his relationship with the nightlife industry and started a hobby, passion and career as a Technologist.

His early thirties

Ryan continued progressing his career upward working at some of the best companies in the Boston area alongside some of the most innovative and brilliant engineers and architects in the industry. From Ipswitch to HealthcareSource to Carbonite. After Carbonite Ryan moved onto SilkRoad technologies as the Lead Architect. After SilkRoad he went into the consulting world and took up gigs at Karmaloop, Grand Circle Travel, and BlueMetal Architects.

Presently

Ryan is working as at analytXbook trying to solve issues companies with grokking useful information from big data.

In the future

In closing, his goal and hope is to retire by 50 and live on Cape Ann overlooking the ocean where he can watch the sun set while writing books on his life experiences as a Technologist and a business consultant. He loves technology, people and his family and he would love to share these passions with other like-minded people.
