Ryan Gold

What's up, my name is Ryan Gold. I am a freshman on the baseball team here at the University of Georgia. I moved onto campus about a month and a half ago over the summer due to baseball duties. I have become very acclimated to campus, and I have enjoyed every moment.

My life has always been revolved around baseball. It is all I ever think about. It is what I dream about every night. I would say I am obsessed. Every young baseball player dream is to play in Major League Baseball. For me, that is my goal. My journey here at UGA is another step in my process to achieving my goal. I have put all of my eggs in this “basket” hoping to achieve my dreams.130

My position in baseball is pitcher. What I love about pitching is the competitive aspect of it is you versus the hitter. The feeling of one-on-one competition is unbeatable. It gives you a chip on your shoulder to execute the best pitch you can. I also like the accountability aspect of pitching because your whole team is counting on you to perform in order for your team to win. I love the feeling of living up to or exceeding expectations on the field.

As I continue along my baseball journey, I will continue to progress as each step I take will lead me to greatness.
