Ryan Gonzales is the Director of Design for Shine Bathroom and the Head of Design at RG/E. He is the creator of the 6XP Framework, the Six Principles for Delivering a Great Product Experience. Ryan curates design systems, manages user-centered design initiatives, and leads the teams and processes that drive them. Gonzales crafts compelling digital products, websites, and experiences for innovative brands. His clients include FedEx, where he created and implemented their design and UX process, and Platinum Performance (acquired by Zoetis) where he enhanced conversion rates and revenue by as much as 300%/YoY. Ryan has completed various other projects for ABC, Guitar Center, Sony, Sapient, and many other F500 and G500 brands. His writing is featured in multiple publications, and he's a top writer in design on Medium.

As an investor, Ryan Gonzales has participated in over 20 seed/pre-seed rounds since 2012 with a 45% positive exit track-record and an average 1.75x ROI. Ryan targets early-stage consumer services and consumer electronics startups in the health, financial, and automotive/transportation industries. He built and sold his first company as a teenager, and used the funds from that exit to make his first investment as part of a syndicate and to create a collection of vehicles he uses as cash investment tools, some of which become race cars for his racing organization OneTwentySeven.

Ryan Gonzales spends most of his time working with his teams in Santa Barbara, CA, where he's been since 2017. Gonzales is a Southern California native but has lived in several places over the years. He moved to Indianapolis to lead design for Swarm, to Memphis to lead design and experience for FedEx, to San Francisco to lead design for StratiFi, and then back home to the Santa Barbara area in 2017 to lead design at TrackR. After TrackR, Ryan expanded his consultancy, RG/Experience, and developed the 6XP Framework for Delivering Great Product Experiences. Shortly after growing his consultancy, Gonzales re-joined forces with Chris Herbert (former CEO of TrackR) at Shine Bathroom where he is today.
