Ryan Gustin New York

Born November 8, 2002, in Rochester, New York, Ryan Gustin has always had a passion for engineering, leadership, and community involvement. From his early years in Penfield, New York, to his current studies in Civil Engineering at Penn State, his journey reflects his commitment to personal development and service to others.

Ryan’s educational journey began at Plank Road North Elementary in Webster, New York, where he attended from first to fifth grade. During these formative years, he began to develop a love for technology. Participating in Lego robotics ignited his interest in engineering, and it was here that he learned the importance of teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity. In addition to his interest in robotics, he was active in sports like football, basketball, and baseball, which helped him develop discipline and a strong work ethic.

Continuing his academic path, Ryan attended McQuaid Jesuit High School in Rochester, where he fully embraced the school’s mission to become a "man for others." His leadership abilities were quickly recognized when he was selected as the team lead for the McQuaid IgKnighters Robotics Team. He played a key role in designing and building the robot's climbing mechanism and was part of the team that won the “Excellence in Engineering” award. This experience solidified his passion for engineering and gave him valuable hands-on skills. Additionally, he operated the school’s CNC Mill, creating precision parts and learning advanced manufacturing techniques to serve him well in future endeavors.

Ryan Gustin New York's dedication to service has always been an integral part of his life. He volunteered at the House of Mercy Homeless Shelter, helping to distribute gifts to those in need during the holidays. He also participated in the St. Joseph of Arimathea Pallbearer Ministry, supporting individuals with limited family connections.
