Born and raised in Melbourne Australia, Ryan

An avid sports enthusiast, Ryan played Australian Rules football, tennis, cricket, and basketball competitively for many years.

Upon completing his Bachelor of Commerce and Diploma of Information Systems at the university of Melbourne, Ryan commenced his career in 2003 working within the operational restructuring team at KPMG.

Following his time at KPMG, Ryan moved to London (via travellling through South America with his now wife, Jordie) in 2006. During his four years in London, Ryan worked within the investment banking division of Nomura, a Japanese investment bank, where he was involving in advising, structuring and arranging financing for private equity buyouts.

In this role, Ryan found himself in the epicentre of the boom and subsequent crash that led to the global financial crisis (especially interesting for Ryan given Nomura acquired Lehman Brothers in Europe out of bankruptcy).

Ryan returned to Australia in 2010 and married Jordie. Together, they are now parents totwo boys under 2 years of age, Ryan spends most of his spare time with his family, and sometimes watching sport.

Ryan currently works as a consultant to MAP Capital, a merchant bank headquartered in Melbourne, with a focus providing investment and advisory services to emerging early stage companies.

Ryan is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, and is currently Chairman of ROBO 3D (www.robo3d.com), a 3D printer business based in San Diego.
