I am an English tutor and writing coach located in Monmouth County, NJ, working with high school and college students. As a writing coach, I help students to develop the ability to plan, organize, and produce excellent written work—from term papers and admissions essays, to creative fiction and poetry. I also work with students who need help with the fundamentals (“mechanics”) of writing: grammar, style, structure, argumentation, and process. As a tutor, I help with reading comprehension, textual analysis, and to develop general organizational and study skills.

I have a solid academic background in English literature: I earned a master’s in English Criticism and Culture from the University of Cambridge in 2016, and bachelor’s in English from Amherst College in 2015, where I graduated cum laude. I also hold an associate’s degree in creative writing from Brookdale Community College, with a concentration in poetry.
