Ryan Gathorne

Hello, I’m Ryan. I'm a final year Digital Media Arts student at the University of Surrey. I like to create 2D and 3D animations using After Effects and Cinema 4D. I have gained industry experience from working at companies such as: Volume Ltd, Melodoo and Entia Ltd. During these internships I worked collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. I also developed an interest in brand design as I spent half of my placement year as a brand design intern.

In my free time, I like to collect plants (some call it an obsession), I try to paint, and I am currently working on a frame by frame animated short film.

I take inspiration from my own experiences and surroundings. I think one of the most powerful things about film is its relatability, and so my goal is to create content that other people can connect with.
