Ryan Olszewski

My name is Ryan Olszewski (pronounced oh-shes-ski).

I grew up in the Amherst area and attend the Isenberg School of Management, UMass Amherst in order to earn my degree in finance.

My interests include hiking, gardening, and the arts of bonsai and penjing. I think there is nothing more interesting than a well shaped bonsai, and I feel a strong connection to all things that grow.

In addition to my interests in plants, I am also an avid hockey fan. Though I enjoy watching all teams in the NHL my favorite to follow is the Toronto Maple Leafs. Even though my family is not from the Toronto area, I follow the team as a result of my father's interest in them when I was growing up. They are a team with a lot of history and an enthusiastic fan base, and I patiently wait the day they are able to win the Stanley Cup for the forteenth time.

I hope to one day have a modest garden of my own and to live close to my two younger brothers. I value my family and the connection I share with them. I would like to work for a company that allows me to help others with their finances, or with social responsibility. I believe that would be rewarding work, and that a company should be responsible for more than just profits.
