Ryan O'Sullivan is a Juris Doctor candidate at the Pritzker School of Law at Northwestern University near Chicago. Contracts and Property law are among his areas of specialization, and he contributes to the Northwestern University Law Review.
Ryan dutifully fulfilled the role of a teaching assistant in Managerial Accounting under the guidance of Professor Alan Mayer-Sommer. Professor Sommer, a distinguished member of both the Institute of Management Accounting and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, as well as the American Accounting Association, boasts an impressive teaching background. He has imparted his knowledge in accounting to classes affiliated with the U.S. Department of Labor and the American Society of Association Executives. Professor Sommer's extensive bibliography includes numerous publications, either as the sole author or in collaboration with others. Noteworthy among his works is the publication titled "An Examination of the Relationship Between Ethical Behavior, Espoused Ethical Values, and Financial Performance in the U.S. Defense Industry: 1988-1992".
Ryan has won several academic awards, including the Kirkland & Ellis Scholar Award for the highest section grade in a 1L course. Ryan was also among just a handful of students awarded the Arlyn Miner Book Award for his persuasive writing skills.
Ryan is also interested in the Northwestern University clubs that benefit his classmates as well as the public at large. Groups raise awareness and discussions about discrimination and other issues. Ryan O'Sullivan is also a Federal Bar Association (FBA) member.
