Living in Georgia for the majority of my life has ingrained in me a few important life lessons: Football is an accepted religion, you're not truly living if you aren't outdoors, and to take pride in your city. As I graduate from Kennesaw State in May and move onto the next chapter of my life, I'm proud to say I've followed those lessons pretty darn closely.

When it comes to sports, I picked my teams at an early age and I'll always stick with them. My dad graduated from Virginia Tech, so I will always be a Hokie first and an Owl second. Even though I grew up idolizing Cal Ripken, Jr., I'm a Brave's fan through and through. My first interest in football came back in the mid 1990s, right when Brett Favre and Green Bay topped the Patriots in Super Bowl XXXI. My fun fact has always been that I'm an NFL owner. Green Bay is the only publicly owned franchise in professional sports, and I'm lucky enough to own stock in the franchise.

I've always had a knack for travel and my desire to see the world will never die. While at KSU I had the good fortune of being able to study abroad in Italy. It was an experience I will never forget. I made lifelong friends while roaming Italian cities, test driving a Ferrari, and touring centuries old wineries. I used to skateboard when I was younger and that grew into picking up snowboarding. It's a little tough to do that around Atlanta, so snowboarding feeds my travels. Most recently I got to experience the "Champagne Snow" of Steamboat Springs, Colorado in what was a painful, yet amazing trip.

As I've grown to explore more of Atlanta, I always find myself searching out the best food the city has to offer. With that, I picked up on the amazing world of craft beer. The industry in Georgia makes it really easy to be proud of what we pour. The quality and craftsmanship that goes into these beers is unreal, and aside from my wintry search for Bell's Hopslam I will always stock my fridge with what's local. I've most recently taken my affinity for craft beer a step further while volunteering at Southern Sky Brewing Company. The new kids on the block are making dreams come true one glass at a time, and it's a great experience being able to watch them grow.

I hope you've enjoyed reading about me as it's still strange for me to just sit down and write about myself. I look back at this and think, "Wow, I'm a #BasicBro," but I'm cool with it. Just have to own who you are have fun living your life!
