Ryan Ricketts is a senior manager at REI (Recreational Equipment, Inc.) in Seattle, Washington, where he leads the search engine optimization (SEO) and product infrastructure platforms teams working on accessibility (A11y), web performance, design systems, analytics, and testing across REI's digital properties. At REI, Ryan received the Anderson Award in 2017 (aka employee of the year for the Digital division) and has twice been nominated for the Leadership Award in his division. He also helped start employee resource groups (ERGs) at REI and now leads communications for Outside with Pride, the LGBTQ-focused inclusion network for employees. Previously, Ryan spent over seven years at Whirlpool Corporation working on digital marketing for brands such as Whirlpool, Maytag, and KitchenAid. Ryan is an avid traveler, hiker, and runner who is actively trying to complete his "40 Before 40" bucket list.
