Ryan Shell
Based out of New York City, Ryan Shell is a creative, results-oriented public relations and marketing professional that has worked on campaigns with Fortune 500 companies, launched groundbreaking social media campaigns, handled media relations for a presidential visit and garnered stories with the likes of NBC Nightly News, The New York Times and many other national and local outlets.
In addition to media relations skills, Ryan Shell has extensive experience creating and implementing market-specific campaigns that integrate traditional/social media, advertising and special events to build brand awareness.
He has liaised with key corporations such as GlaxoSmithKline, Home Depot, Sprint Nextel, Coke, Wal Mart, Fuji, NASCAR and Time Warner, supporting their internal and external marketing efforts.
Ryan got his start as an on-air personality (Went by the name "JJ McCain") at 107.5 KZL, a Top 40 radio station in Greensboro, NC, where he hosted a highly rated show. He achieved this position at the age of 20 making him one of the youngest full-time radio hosts in the top 50 markets.
While living in the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina, he was recognized by the Triad Business Journal as a recipient of its 40 Leaders Under Forty (2009) award for his professional and community-related accomplishments.
Highlights of his community involvement include: 2009 Greensboro City Council At-Large candidate, Southside Homeowners Association President, Member of the Greensboro Board of Adjustments, Founder of the Greensboro Community Watch, Founder of Greensboro Politics.com and he adopted three streets with the City of Greensboro's Adopt-A-Street program.
Ryan Shell now lives in New York City and is a Senior Manager at Ketchum.
