Ryan Sibley
I've worked at the Sunlight Foundation for six years covering a number of diverse issues including government spending, campaign finance, the state of criminal justice data and lots of stuff in between. I've been lucky enough to participate in panels and conferences that have focused on fact checking tools for the press, ways to visualize data and how privacy concerns effect transparency in different sectors.During this last year I've focused on locating criminal justice data and building an inventory that journalists can use to help them tell stories and concerned citizens can use to inform themselves. It's one of many projects I'm very proud of. Please get in touch if you'd like to hear more about it.I've been in D.C. for eight years, but am originally from California. So if you're thinking I probably miss my home state, you're right. Nothing beats the weather, food or people on the best coast. I've held a wide variety of jobs, including fast food, bartending, tuxedo sewing, fork lift operating and finally research and writing. When I'm not working, you'll find me cooking or walking a dog, not always mine.
