Welcome To My Blog!

My name is Ryan Sura and I am a student aspiring to be a sports journalist. I am in my fourth year at Ryerson majoring in Sport Media.

My passion came for sports and storytelling by watching and playing sports throughout my entire life. I want to become a sports journalist because I want to tell compelling stories. With all the information at sports journalists disposal, they should be able to tell better stories. I want to tell stories that people want to read, that makes a difference. I do not want to be told something I already know or can Google and find out right away.

I have started my path on becoming a sports journalist by writing for TSN.ca this summer. I am now working for SportsBettingDime.com covering college sports as a freelance writer.

My dream does not stop at writing as I am very interested in broadcasting as well. I am currently the Play-By-Play commentator for the Ryerson Men's Basketball team and have been working for the Ryerson Broadcast team since my first year.

On this blog, I will be showcasing my personal writing. Expressing my opinions, so feel free to criticize and write back. It's encouraged!
