Ryan Miller

I am an assistant professor in the English Department at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, USA. I teach in the undergraduate and graduate programs in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL).

In my research, I investigate cross-linguistic transfer of reading sub-skills (particularly phonological and morphological awareness) and lexical inferencing and incidental vocabulary acquisition. I also investigate second language writing, particularly the development of academic and disciplinary genre knowledge.
