Ryan Rothwell is a multifaceted creative and healthcare expert. He is a writer, poet, ghostwriter, graphic designer, typesetter, artist, photographer and former NHS clinician with over twenty-five years experience in acute and specialist care. His literary work explores the human experience, social issues, chronic illness, trauma, identity, mental health, healthcare, nursing and medicine, sociopolitical issues, criminology and forensic psychology. He also writes long and short form fiction in a variety of genres. He is an advocate for male survivors of domestic and sexual abuse, disability inclusion, LGBTQ+ and minority rights. He is currently working on his first non-fiction book, a memoir, due for release in October 2027. Originally from Wales, he now lives in rural Cornwall with his little red dog, Bryher Willow.
